The challenge with regards to separation of hydrocarbons $($from crude oil$)$ hinges on the fact that

the prediction of densities is crucial for design of equipment and separation strategies. In this

regard, the current project is designed on:

$1.$ Find out densities of hydrocarbons like ethane $/$ propane $/$ anything of your choice from

experimental literature.

$2.$ Compare the densities of variety of hydrocarbons with Equations of states supplied during the

course $($van der Waals RK and SRK$)$

$3.$ Explain which of the equations perform well and under which domains
