The Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 of NSW Legislation aims to safeguard the safety, welfare and well-being of children and young persons by providing them with long-term, safe, nurturing, stable and secure environments through permanent placement in accordance with the permanent placement principles. And that children and young persons receive such care and protection as is necessary for their safety, welfare and well-being, having regard to the capacity of their parents or other persons responsible for them, and t aims to create a safe place to ensure the security of the children and away from harm, abuse, neglect or any form of violence and exploitation. To adhere a safe and nurturing environment it must be under the guidance and assistance of parents and other persons responsible for the children. This will relate to a school environment by the collaboration and help of parents, teachers, medical professionals, principal to come up with the appropriate ILP with the students with additional needs. As the law relates to the guardianship and care of the children and young people, it goes with the same goal with supporting students with additional needs. Students with additional needs high care, by doing so, students with additional needs will fells safe and well nurtured in school
