The chosen well known figure: Steve Jobs (Co-Founder, Former Chairman and CEO of 'Apple)

You will utilize all of the knowledge you have gained and synthesize it into a personality analysis of a public figure. First, you will choose a well-known public figure in the business world. The more well known, the better, because you will need a lot of information on this individual.

You will then do research on them and come up with a personality analysis. Obviously (as you cannot ask these questions of them), you will have to do a lot of inferring based on their actions, behaviors, and things that they have said. I do not expect a clinical assessment, but I do want to see that you have put thought and research into responding to each of the questions. When discussing how the traits may have helped or hindered the individual, you must use research to support your claim. This research can be from peer-reviewed scholarly journals, your textbook, or trade journals (i.e., Harvard Business Review). Do not use non-scholarly websites, and it goes without saying: please don't use Wikipedia.

Answer the following questions. (Must be 400 words or more.) Dealing with Steve Jobs

  1. Do you think there may be a personality disorder at play? Which one? Why? What are specific behavioral examples? How might this disorder have affected their success in the business world?
