Group Project Companies Carreras Limited (CAR) Salada Foods Jamaica Limited (SALF) Pulse Investments Limited (PULS) Students should form groups of not more than five (5) participants. The latest audited financial statement must be obtained and an assessment of the company carried out with a view of offering credit facilities to the company. Assume loan of $150 Million minimum. The following issues should be addressed: 1. Introduction overview and knowledge of the company (5 marks) 2. What impact will the $150 million have on the company in terms of growth(10 marks) 3. Credit worthiness of the company (10 marks) 4. Financial and Non-Financial analysis (20 marks) 5. What risks do the company face and how are they being managed?(10 marks) 6. All lending techniques i.e.5Cs, Z-Score etc. should be included ( 30 marks) 7. Loan amortisation schedule ( 5 marks) 8. Recommendation and rational. (10 marks) Each group will prepare a credit proposal to the board of directors of a bank highlighting the principal findings on the company and any recommendations as to whether or not this company is a good credit risk for facilities to be extended to it
