The construction industry is one of the most impacted industries by the COVID-19 crisis. Construction sites have become different than to what they were before the pandemic. The impact of Covid-19 on construction project management practices has been substantial, leading to various changes and challenges in the industry. As countries worldwide implemented lockdown measures and social distancing protocols, construction projects faced a new normal that was rife with delays, cancellations, and the need for adjustments to the normal way of doing business (Aldrighetti et al. 202; Safapour et al., 2017; Yin et al., 2023). An unprecedented disruption of the labor force, due to health concerns, travel restrictions, and social distancing mandates, resulted in two distinct challenges for the construction industry. Covid-19 has necessitated the implementation of strict health and safety measures on construction sites to protect workers from potential exposure to the virus. This includes measures such as social distancing, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), regular sanitization, temperature checks, and health screenings. Project managers have had to ensure compliance with these measures to maintain a safe working environment.
