the country of research is Russia:

Title: An Analysis of the Economic Impact of Key Global Issues in Russia

the section I want you to focus on is trade policy (this is the heading you will use for your work).

create two tables. The first presents import and export data for the three selected years, but each set of data, the imports and the exports, should be grouped separately, then ranked by 2021 values. That will show you which are the main products exported and imported currently, and how they might have changed over time.

The second table should show imports, exports and GLI for each of the three chosen years, but this time you group imports, exports, and GLI together for the same year, and you then rank those by GLI. This will allow you to see what the profile of GLI looks like, both within and across years. Having the export and export data there will allow you to analyse which might have been driving any observed changes in GLI over time.

If you wish to amend your current data presentation and send just that to me for review before doing the analysis, that will be fine.

analysis (make sure these are Russia specific!): contents you need to mmention in your analysis:

-Global Trade, the GATT and the WTO

- GATT/WTO - Key Principles: Non-Discrimination GATT Article 1 - Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Reciprocity Binding and Transparency RTAs and PTAs?

-One or more countries (Complainants) challenge a Defendant If the Defendant was ruled against: GATT - unanimity needed to uphold the ruling WTO - unanimity needed to reverse the ruling

Remove a range of barriers to trade (the EU is unusually broad and deep)

Reciprocal (GATT Article XXIV) Preferential Trade Agreements Typically between a rich country/RTA and one or more poor countries

Remove many barriers on poor-rich trade

Non-reciprocal (GATT/WTO 'enabling clause', egUNCTAD GSP)

text box clarification:

The general principle with textboxes is that country specific analysis goes in the main text, whilst information (theory, policies, definitions, etc) that you draw on to analyse your country's data goes into textboxes. One or two issues are causing confusion, hence this clarifier.

With WTO trade disputes you can put the details of the case(s) into a textbox, but the analysis of the case and how it relates to the trade data go into the main text.

Also, with things like "policies", some of these will be country-specific. Please youse text boxes correctly in this. your answer should be a detailed paragraph with tables, text boxes and anylsisis on Russias trade and trade policy. please include Harvard regrinding at the bottom from the websites you use for you analysis
