The course material this week focuses on media representations of the female body. Their focus, however, is primarily on content on traditional media forms such as television and print advertising. How do Instagram, tik tok or other social media influencers reproduce and/or challenge the ways in which the female body is represented? How do intersectional identities of race, ability, size, ethnicity, and sexual identity? In what ways does social media reproduce and/or challenge gender norms from traditional media? Provide examples to support your argument.
