The current state of law in defamation cases is satisfactory to me in general since it allows employers to carry out their legal and moral obligations while also preserving employees' reputations. It would be helpful to avoid needless litigation if the limits of qualified privilege were more clearly defined in the context of employment. Companies that are just trying to do their jobs right would be better protected if there were stronger guidelines on what constitutes "malice" in these situations
