To assess theproblem's forecasting ability, use MAPE, or mean absolute percentage error. When asked or appropriate, solve these problems using the Palisade Decision Tools Excel application.

a. Make a time series chart using the information. Which of the exponential smoothing models do you believe will yield the best forecasting model, based on what you've observed? Why? b. To forecast these data, use basic exponential smoothing with a smoothing constant of 0.1. c. Go back to part b and repeat it, but this time, look for the smoothing constant that minimizes the RMSE. Is there much of an improvement over part B of the modeling process?
