The data from the container of the peanut reads per serving size of 28 g, there is 170 Calories. After doing my calculations and the experiment(pictures posted, cannot delete on 'edit question' to update better photos), my data comes out as: Question from report: LITERATURE VALUE FOR HEAT OF COMBUSTION (after calculations): My answer: 6100 cal/g Next Question it asks: "Using the Nutrition Facts information obtained from the peanut container, a literature value for the heat of combustion of the peanut can be determined. The literature calue is determined by using the equation below: Literature Value = {Calories per Serving * (1000 calories/1 Calorie)} / Serving Size *Since the Calorie reported on the nutrition label is in reaity equa to 'one kilocalorie', the units must be changed so that both the literature calue and the experiment values are the same.* However, after I enter my data from my calculations, my answer is no where near the 170 g of the container. my answer is 6100 cal/g . So am I overthinking the question because I cant read chemistry or is my math wrong? Am I missing a step? is it asking me to convert? I don't understand.
