The default administrator password on many, if not most, home network routers never get changed, making these computers vulnerable to malware. From an ethical perspective, should router manufacturers be required to create unique passwords for every router? What if this process is very expensive for the manufacturer? Who is ethically responsible for malware attacks due to default network passwords: the user or manufacturer?
