The department of management sciences at Bahria University offers different courses in each semester. In this current semester, department finalized 8 regular faculty members for 6 course. Assignment have to be made in a manner that 6 out of 8 faculty members assigned 1 course each and 2 faculty members with poor performance will not be assigned any course and they shall be send to without pay leave. Before the beginning of semester, the department head sends the alumni students a questionnaire to evaluate 8 faculty members, asking them to rate their recommendation for each course using a scale from 1 to 5, where 1 is "strongly preferred," 2 is "preferred but not as strongly as 1," 3 is "neutral," 4 is "prefer not to teach but not strongly," and 5 is "strongly prefer not to teach this course." (a) What will be the optimal assignment or decision taken by HOD in the light of questionnaire evaluation returned back by alumni? Explain.

(b) If because of inconvenience in timings of Course MG-101, two of the faculty members Ali Imran and Habib are not available to teach this course, what impact will it make on the overall decision of course allocation? Explain.

(c) If instead of using the above mentioned scale they use the scale from 1 to 5 as, 5 is "strongly preferred," 4 is "preferred but not as strongly as 1," 3 is "neutral," 2 is "prefer not to teach but not strongly," and 1 is "strongly prefer not to teach this course, and got the same response as above, how you evaluate the performance of each faculty member, and in this case will your decision will be the same as before? Explain.
