The design below has been selected as the layout of a new warehouse. The available storage area for the customers to be served should be able to store at least the amount calculated in the first question. The dimensions of the palettes to be stored are uniform for every customer and are 0.8m in width and 1.2m in length. The palettes would be stored on back to back shelving systems and the dimensions of the shelves are 0.9m in width and 1.2m in length. The length of aisles is chosen as 3m with regards to the handling equipment chosen for processing inventory. The length of the main aisle is 5m and the stack size for palettes is chosen as 7 for utilizing the warehouse floor. Find the area required for this layout type (LxLy)
