The Dissertation Journey Chapter Notetaking Guide Instructions: This guide is to help you engage with the textbook and pay attention to some of the important aspects from each chapter. For each chapter you are assigned to read in the textbook, you will find a list of questions in this document that you need to answer as you read the text. You may answer them directly in this document. Your answers do not have to be in complete sentences, but they should represent a complete thought. You may use bullet points, lists, etc. or whatever method you choose to answer the questions. Feel free to add spaces, etc. if you need more room between questions. When you have readALL ASSIGNED CHAPTERS of the textbook AND completed ALL the questions, you will submit the completed documentfor a grade. Chapter 1: Do You Have What it Takes? 1. In the first couple of pages of the chapter, the authors describe the dissertation journey and the attitude needed to accomplish it. Summarize what they said and reflect on what stood out to you the most in a brief paragraph. 2. The first \"hazard\" described by the book is procrastination. The authors then offer 5 strategiesto overcome procrastination. Summarize each one below: a. Challenges your excuses. b. Develop a Do It Now! Habit. c. Divide and Conquer d. Remove the Reward e.
