The DO-REI-MI-FA ZONE song recording company wants to develop a system to automate operations and scheduling processes of its contracted performers, recordings and song catalogues

The DO-REI-MI-FA ZONE song recording company wants to develop a system to automate operations and scheduling processes of its contracted performers, recordings and song catalogues in the studio. The record studio companys owner DJ K. Washi has provided you with the following requirements for a database model. The studio wishes to store details of track productions of all its in-house recordings from its music artists and producers. Every song produced by the studio should each be uniquely identified by a Unique Song Number (USN). Artists get their inspiration from different sentiments and experiences and may use the same titles with other artists for their individual song tracks. This is perfectly fine as long as the studio is able to identify individual song productions from each other. Furthermore, as a music productions company with a view to profit, K. Washi wishes that schedules for song productions should be as tight as possible. It is not uncommon therefore that two or more songs have the same composition dates. DO-REI-MI-FA ZONE has five separate and fully sound-proofed studios available for recordings on any given day. Songs can be composed by a single artist or a multiple of them in a team. To uniquely identify song copyrights, the composer(s) full name(s) is / are required. The songs themselves are usually recorded by recording artists (bands or solo performers). A song is recorded as a track on a CD. Details of a song include the track name, artist(s), length of recording and lyrics. A CD has many songs on it, called tracks. CDs have a unique Record Catalogue Number (RCN), a title and must have a producer (the full name of the producer is required). Each track must have the recording date and the track number of the CD. A song can appear on many (or no) CDs, and be recorded by many different recording artists. The same recording artist might re-record the same song on different CDs. A CD must have only 1 recording artist appearing on it. CDs can be released a number of times; and each time, the release date and associated number of sales is required.

Prepare the following: a. An ER diagram for the system. Show all entities, relationships, cardinalities and optionalities. Also, include all intersection entities. You must use the Finkelstein methodology (20 marks) b. A list of relations (equivalent to Finkelstein entity list). Produce complete relations for all entities and attributes. Show all primary and foreign keys. Include all attributes that are specifically mentioned and all key attributes. You may need to create primary and foreign keys that are not specifically mentioned. You must use the Finkelstein methodology (10 marks) c. An Oracle SQL table create statement for the relation SONG. Use logical data types for each column. Primary key and foreign key constraints must be created if applicable. (5 marks)
