The Essay must be at a minimum of two pages and a maximum of 5". You may use diagrams etc. to enhance your answer if you wish to use them but make sure they are labeled and not just a picture.

Question:

• You have just been assigned as the project manager/inspector for a project the has been ongoing for one year (12 months done).
• The project contract was awarded at $2,570,000 and had a two year completion time (24 months).
• The previous project manager was just fired because he kept no written records at all and just allowed monthly payments be made as requested by the contractor who has been paid 48% of the total project value of the project for the first 11 payments ( one month lag as is normal).
• The old PM does have an electronic file with dated photos of the project. He is NOT willing to answer his phone, emails or provide any answers as to what has occurred to date ( remember he was fired).
• This contractor does have a good reputation based on other work he has done in the past for your company and others.

Indications are that the project is just 43% done, but that is just a rumor you heard at the water fountain between a couple of the workers when you first arrived at the job and no one knew who you were! They could be working?

Make any assumptions you wish but state them first and then describe how you are going to get this project back under control.
