The European Lisp Symposium is a premier forum for the discussion and dissemination of all aspects of design, implementation, and application of any of the Lisp dialects, including Common Lisp, Scheme, Emacs Lisp, Clojure, Racket, ACL2, AutoLisp, ISLISP, Dylan, SKILL, Hy, Shen, Carp, Janet, uLisp, Picolisp, Gamelisp, TXR, and so on. You are invited to get in depth into functional programming and prepare the following: 1. Describe the main and unique features behind the functional paradigm, and the purpose it serves in our real-life problems 2. Select three languages that are descendent of LISP, and that are currently active and used in reallife applications. Briefly compare the selected language in terms features and purpose of design. 3. For each of the selected languages above, you need to find and describe two applications that are currently used in market. You need to argue why functional programming was used to build these applications
