The evaluation stage of the ADDIE process can provide important data about the effectiveness and utility of an instructional module or solution. It can also provide you and your clients with valuable insights into how to revise the solution before moving to the next stage. Unfortunately, the value of undergoing a formal evaluation process is often overlooked due to time, budget, or other constraints.

Imagine that you have designed and implemented the first stage of an instructional solution with a client. To your surprise, the client has decided to forgo the evaluation and revision process, and decides to continue to rollout the solution without any data collection efforts to review its efficacy.
