The feedback from the three assessments that I have taken so far stated I will be a good manager. The week 1 assessment said I am an absolutist and I agree with that finding. An absolutist believes the best possible outcome can be achieved by following universal moral rules. Following the rules simplifies things, whereas bending the rules only complicates matters and causes stress. Very often stressful situations are created when people avoid dealing with a problem because it may require change. However, management can offset the fear of change with a positive attitude and effective communication. A positive attitude is a great way to motivate people to work hard toward a common goal. Change sometimes requires us to think and operate differently and that can be scary. It is up to management to consider every aspect of the problem and work to find a fair solution that works for the employees while sticking to corporate goals. If management operates in an ethical manner employees will stay motivated, and the company will grow. Balancing what is best for the whole company is not complicated if you operate ethically.
