The final project is designed for students to combine risk management content learned in this course with knowledge gained from other courses, or personal and/or professional situations. It is expected that you will add to the knowledge gained from the course by selecting an area of risk management about which you would like to gain additional knowledge that is NOT covered in depth in the class and then delve more deeply into the topic. You should:

  1. Pick a risk management topic of interest to you. E-mail the instructor for approval of your topic - See Week 8 Assignments for details;
  2. Investigate the existing body of knowledge related to the topic finding at least 5 scholarly sources related to your topic;
  3. Critically analyze and relate your findings to the topics covered as part of the course;
  4. Create a scenario where the topic area you choose can be practically applied and then;
  5. Apply your new topic knowledge to your created scenario.
  6. Submit your COMPLETED paper by the final day of the quarter AT THE LATEST to the D2L Submission Folder.

You are encouraged to pick a topic area that has practical relevance to your studies, your work or something related to your personal life. You have worked all quarter to have the background to complete this assignment. Have fun putting it all to work!
