The first paragraph is a basic summary of the article, in your own words, 6-8 sentences. Use classic rules of writing composition to draft your paragraph a lead sentence to introduce the paragraph topic, a few sentences to explain further, and a sentence to provide a closing thought. 4. The second paragraph is used to explain to the person reading your article summary why the article you chose was interesting to you and how it may be interesting to other people. Once again, 6-8 sentences will be sufficient to log full credit for the second paragraph. 5.
