The second thing that should be discussed is that bonuses should be based on performance. If someone is performing badly they should not be rewarded like the rest of the company. Thirdly to cut costs, as many companies do, over time could be eliminated. Not very many employees have overtime but roughly $35,000 is being spent on overtime alone. Is the overtime necessary for the company to continue? Bonuses being based on performance could for one improve the performance of employees within the company as well as cutting costs on the employees who have not improved. Cutting base pay salaries for the departments could help longevity with employees within the company while cutting costs. Eliminating overtime could stop burnout of employees, and help with a work-life balance for employees, in turn helping their productivity during scheduled hours, and helping cut costs of the company
