During the past 10 years there have been extensive flood damages in New Orleans. It is important that one has some means to access flood damage to the city. The following table lists a 10-year record of flood damage.

Where D = Flood damage in $Million

            Q = Discharge rate in m³/sec

            K = multiplication factor, the value of which depends on the time of the flood,

            Concentration and distribution of residential and industrial areas, etc.

 

Simulate a 25 year period and compute the total flood damage for the next 25 years.
