The following pages and attached diagrams constitute a fictitious Fire Engineering Report that you are engaged by the Principal Certifying Authority to carry out a third party peer review to facilitate Construction Certificate approval. The Report contains in excess of 20 errors of a substantial* nature, including (but not confined to): Report format errors; Process errors; Conceptual errors; Methodology errors; Errors of logic; Technical errors; Omission of justifications; and Omission of necessary information The Peer Review Report should comprise two sections, i.e. a section on specific issues and the other an overview of the Fire Engineering Report. Indicate the page/s, section/s and line number/s in which it occurs (2 marks); (B) Provide reasons and justifications, providing examples where appropriate, why you consider it is a substantial error, and discuss its consequence if left uncorrected (6 marks); and (C) Indicate how this error might be addressed by the Fire Safety Engineer (4 marks). An error should only be identified once (discuss repeats of the same error as one error); (2) Language, grammatical or typing errors with no significant consequences are not to be identified; and, (3) Do not exceed 6 errors as only 6 errors will be assessed and marked. (4) At least one (but no more than two) of the substantial errors identified must not be related to fire safety engineering, including the International Fire Engineering Guidelines. For example, it could be related to the NCC. Otherwise, the answer for this error will not score any marks Provide a general overview of the Fire Engineering Report with comments on its quality, acceptability and usefulness, and what would be the next step for the project to further proceed. This section could also highlight other less substantial errors if there are any.
