the formats below. You are invited to complete a very interesting assignment - An Interview with a Marketing Professional. The interview is also for extra credit. You will be responsible for networking and trying to find a suitable marketing professional - someone who works in the field - at a professional level - and someone you do not already know well, (for example, not a family member. Why? You are practicing how to make a good impression on someone you don't know well). And you will ask them 8-10 HIGH QUALITY marketing questions (on top of the generic opening questions such as where do you work, how long have you been there, etc) And the questions should cover a range of topics from our class. This is not an interview about what a career in marketing looks like - is an interview that connect what we learned in the classroom to the real world). You can ask them a couple generic questions to get started, but on top of that, I am looking for 8-10 additional high quality questions that relate to the diverse marketing concepts we covered in the class.. This Discussion Board is to help build a library of great questions you can ask. You will meet with a marketing professional (Brand Manager, Product Manager, Digital Marketing role, Public Relations professional, market research professional, etc). You should plan for a 20 - 30 minute talk - more is fine providing they can spare the time) and you will write a short paper on the experience. The interview should be is approx. 2 pages document, written in one of the following formats: 1) Q\&A format: A paragraph introducing the interviewee, their role, and their company, and where you met them. Then the list of your questions along with their answers. And a final paragraph wrapping it up with your major take away's from the interview. or 2) A narrative. In this case, you are not just listing the individual questions and answers, but telling the story of your discussion, with the questions and their answers embedded in the story. Some people like to write narratives when completing a paper. Either approach is fine! As long as questions about the content we covered n marketing are asked (and documented in your paper) - and a variety of topics covered. It is due by 4/1/2022 midnight. Please reference the Discussion Board where our class created a library of potential questions to ask. Relate your questions to specific marketing topics we discussed in the class. Enjoy this!
