The Fourteenth Amendment establishes that people who are "born or naturalized" in the United States are citizens. Children who are born in the United States are entitled to U.S. citizenship regardless of the nationality of their parents, or immigration status. Some wealthy foreigners come to the U.S. to give birth. Do you think this practice should be allowed for the purpose of acquiring U.S. citizenship? Why or why not?
