Many of these games have evolved from what used to be action, adventure, and strategy, into games containing a central theme of violence. It seems like only a few years ago that we had games called Pac-Man, Frogger and Mario Brothers and now we have games called street fighter, commander and conquer. Tomb Raider. In the future as these games improve in their ability to surround us with realistic graphics, surround sound, and other things of virtual reality components, we will need to think hard about retracting, controlling, or managing the access our youth have to these games.
