The Happy Valley Glee Club needs money to fund their "Magical Music" choir trip to Disneyland. They decide to hold a bake sale, and advertise the event by printing ads in the newspaper and running commercials on the radio. They order 100 cherry pies and 500 apple tarts from Crusty Pies Company, to be delivered by 6am on Tuesday, in time for the bake sale from 10am to 2pm. Because it had snowed the night before and traffic is slow, the Crusty Pie truck-driver is running behind schedule. He turns a corner too quickly and loses control of the truck on the icy road. The truck overturns, and baked goods fly out onto the roadway. He immediately phones the Happy Valley Glee Club to tell them that the contract was frustrated by the destruction of the pies.
