"The Healing Power of Reading" by Michelle Kuo, take good notes. Your notes should mention the point Kuo is making and also things that she talks about that help her support that point. But your notes should also include things she says that speak directly to you--things you connect with. 

 

1. Identify a time when you improved in doing something? What were you doing? How quick or slow was your improvement? Why did you improve slowly or quickly?

3. Patrick related to Frederick Douglass's statement about thinking. What do you like to think about? What do you avoid thinking about? What behaviors do you use to avoid thinking?
