He advises that one of the consequences is likely to be that, 15 employees spread over various departments within the company, will need to be dismissed for operational reasons. The company has 45 employees. A number of loyal employees have been with the company for more than 10 years and are still contributing on a large scale in order to retain business of long-standing clients. Your client would not want to lose these employees, but all are candidates for retrenchment. INSTU is the registered trade union at the workplace with 10 of the employees as members. The company also has a financial advisory department, as well as an in-house psychologist who could assist with the process
