The income tax account of Friends Ltd. as at 1/1/2011 was made as follows:

The following additional information relates to taxes:
1. The final income tax for 2010 has been agreed at GHS3,200,000.00 the Revenue Authority. A provisional assessment of GHS1,800,000.00 has been submitted by the Revenue Authority for 2011.
2. The tax paid during the current year amounted to GHS120,000.00
3. Taxable temporary differences and deductible temporary differences other than from the recognition of goodwill and business combination was GHS6,000,000.00 and GHS3,000,000.00 respectively
4. Unused tax losses and unused tax credits amounted to GHS500,000.00 and GHS300,000.00 respectively
5. The corporate tax rate is 25% and is expected to remain the same for the next five years
6. Sales amounting GHS210,700,000.00 includes VAT of 12.5% and cost of sales of GHS45,900,000.00 includes VAT at 12.5%. VAT amounting GHS4,500,000.00 on purchases was however not included in arriving at the cost of sales.
7. Opening stocks and closing stocks were GHS30,500,000.00 and GHS34,500,000.00 respectively
8. During the year an amount of GHS600,000.00 was withheld by a client of Friends Ltd. as withholding taxes.
