The Independence Standards Board (ISB) published a document entitled, " A Statement of Independence Concepts: A Conceptual Framework for Auditor Independence". Though the ISB was dissolved in 2001, their findings remain a valuable resource. The report contains four principles by which auditors may judge their independence.
