The large profits earned by commercial banks while several businesses have suffered losses during the pandemic is proof that these institutions are predatory and need increased regulation by the central banks for the good of the Caribbean economies. Neither the banks nor the central banks have assisted businesses during the pandemic, they all seem to be concerned only with profits.
