The leaders that have been most effective in motivating were the ones who took the time to understand personal and professional goals and gave opportunities to achieve them. These were goals that aligned with the organization's goals. However, that interest in my well-being was empowering. What tactics can be used to encourage followers in addition to encouraging their goals to become more supportive followers?
