The leadership of Netflix is known for its advocacy of risk taking and blunt candor in communication. They also practice, according the WSJ 9-7-20, what is known as the “keeper test” with their employees. Managers are encouraged to routinely ask themselves if an employee were offered a job by another company, would they fight to keep that employee. If the answer is no, the employee is let go.
