Once this is completed, the patient approaches one of 5 nurse stations. The nurse asks several medical questions, in particular about any history of allergic reactions, and answers any questions the patient may have. They then administer the shot, after which the patient is required to sit in a waiting area for 15 minutes before leaving the vaccination site. The waiting area is flexible, so that if more space is needed patients can spillover into the hallway.
