The management team at Big Island Hotel in Hawaii is responsible for transitioning from a hotel model to an all-inclusiveconcept. The Board of Directors wants to shift from marketing the resort as a hotel-only destination to an all-inclusive, which is rare in Hawaii. These concepts are far more popular in destinations such as Mexico, Dominican Republic orJamaica. The board of directors identified 3 potential projects (listed below) that align with the all-inclusive model and expectsthe management team to brainstorm an additional 5 ideas. Once the team agrees on 10 projects, each management team member(individually) must create a recommendation identifying what they believe is the most important project. Since the resort hires from Conestoga, the team is well-versed in brainstorming, paired comparison and the 6 Thinking Hats tools to support solid decision-making.

1. As a group, perform brainstorming sessions to identify and agree upon at least Seven (7) projects to add to projects in the case study (given by the board of directors).2. Ensure each group member has access to the group results. Capture the results, take notes, including the classmates' names, save this and hand them in with the assignment.3. After identifying the projects, each group must narrow the list to five (5). Find and use a technique that works for your group. Capture the results, including a description of the technique or process used.

1. Create a PowerPoint presentation (5 - 8 pages) or MS Word document (3 - 5 pages), excluding the title and reference pages. The assignment must include:

1.1. The names of your group members and the results of your brainstorming session. Identify the top five (5) projects.1.2. A personal reflectionon the group brainstorming session, and at minimum, include your (personal) insights on what went well, what didn't go well, and ideas on how you would perform brainstorming in the future.1.3. Explain your group's process to down-select the five (5)most important projects.1.4. Create a Paired Comparison chart and perform the comparison using the five (5) projects. All your group members will have the same list.1.5. Include the chart and results in your assignment. Avoid using weighted scoring. The results are only usable if you include the criteria for weighting. 1.6. Create a table to perform a comparison using the Six Thinking Hats. It must include the top 3 projects identified in the paired comparison. 1.7. Reflect on your experience using both decision-making tools process. Your reflection should include insightful and meaningful content, such as which approach worked best, whether the process was simple or complex, or whether you have enough information.1.8.
