The principals of statics can be used to show that the tension force T in the cable is given by LbLcW T= 453-D where D is the distance of the cable attachment point to the beam pivot as shown in the figure below Lc Lb A. Create a function which takes inputs of Lb, Lc, W and D and outputs T B. Create an m-file to supply the function file with the inputs W=400N, 3m, Lc-5m. Use an increment of 0.01 when creating D between 0.5 and Lb. Calculate the tension in the cable for all D values. Plot the tension T against the distance D. Find the minimum tension and the distance required to achieve the minimum amount of tension. Mark the minimum on the plot using a red asterisk. C. D
