The mosaics of the Alhambra The Alhambra in Granada, Spain, is the name of the royal residence of the Nasrid dynasty, surrounded by trees and gardens. Construction began in 1238 and the entire complex was completed in the second half of the 14th century. In many of its rooms are mosaics of extraordinary beauty. His taste for abstract and geometric motifs was due to the strict observance of the second commandment of their religion that says that you will not record any image [...] ". These polygons are obtained from the square, the equilateral triangle and the rhombus, using the principle of conservation of the surface, but not of the shape.
