Estimated Overhead (RM) Purchasing 220.000 Processing 300,000 Testing 120,000 Storing 80,000 The following cost drivers and the expected cost drivers for both products were identified as follows: Activity Cost driver Purchasing Purchase order Processing Gallon processed Testing No. of tests Storing Gallon on hand Total cost driver per activity for both products 250 orders 1.000 gallons 300 tests 400 gallons Only 100 purchase orders were placed in producing Q1-based while the remaining are for P3-based production. Total gallons processed is allocated equally to Q1-based and P3-based for processing activity.1/3 of the total number of tests were conducted to make sure the quality of Q1-based meets approved standard while the remaining number of tests is for P3-based. For storing activity, 250 gallons are for Q1-based and 150 gallons for P3-based. Perfect Paint Sdn Bhd has budgeted to produce 200,000 gallons of Q1-based and 400,000 gallons of P3-based.
