The National Park Act 1980 (Act 226) is a Malaysian federal law that governs the

creation and maintenance of national parks in the country. The Act's purpose is to

provide for the establishment and control of National Parks as well as other related

matters. Pursuant to this Act, under Section 11 (Regulations), the Minister may, after

consultation with the state authorities, make regulations that are not inconsistent with
