The NIST public working group identified cloud SLAs as an important gap that needs clarification $($scope$)$ and refinement $($structure$).$ A survey of publicly available cloud SLAs showed that an industry$-$wide accepted standard SLA form for cloud services does not exist. Disparities in cloud providers' SLAs, and issues related to high$-$profile cloud failures support the conclusion that SLAs are inadequate.
