The objective is to discover the moral demands of leadership and followership.

Understanding the unique responsibilities of both leaders and followers allows an organization to function effectively. While we often focus on the responsibilities of leaders, Peterson (2013) identifies four principles of followership: Trust, Stability, Compassion, and Hope.

There is no leader without followers. A leader's role is to influence those that follow him or her, as everyone moves forward towards a common goal. In order to accomplish this successfully a leader must be able to define and articulate that goal, as well as give followers a reason to follow.
