There's already a shortage of nurses and to threaten them with taking away their licenses isn't going to phase them. In 2015, new grads were leaving the profession (not just the hospital job, but the nursing profession all together) at 75%. Boomers would stay. Millennials and Gen Zs won't. Nursing is a very hard profession. It's hard on your body, your mental health, and your soul. I know---I've been practicing for 38 years. If I were government officials, I would be real leary about trying to coerce nurses to work. They'll walk rather than work. What do you think is going to happen
