The potential employer has given you a challenge to come up with a Gantt chart in MS Project, based on a project to landscape a piece of property that is 1860 sq metres. The footprint of the house and driveway on the property is 260 sq metres so the rest of the property has to be landscaped. The potential employer has indicated the work package budget is a very generous $160K (so money isn't really an issue), and does not expect you to be an expert on landscaping. They want to know how well you can build a realistic WBS, make a Gantt chart in MSP, and meet stringent project requirements. For example, when they say "realistic", they expect given a budget of $160K, that the landscaping would be spectacular and it would include WBS elements and specific activities in order to create a piece of property that looks spectacular. Again, they are not expecting you to be a landscaping expert, and they are not expecting you to do any costing such as costing out activities. By stating there is $160K and providing the property size, they are saying you are not constrained by budget.

You've asked a few good questions and determined the project has to be done in 19 business days, and the minimum duration for any activity has to be one (1) day and all durations have to be whole numbers. The existing property has already been leveled via a bulldozer using the existing earth around the house which is of low quality (not suitable for growing grass or plants). You can modify the leveled ground to some degree. Trees and shrubs, a path or walkway, build a berm here, a depression for a small pond there but no swimming pools, no decks. We're landscaping, this is not a construction project.
