The project building, shown on the next page, will be designed using reinforced concrete. For all groups, f y = 60000 psi, and the height of each story = 12 ft. You will find other group- specific parameters in the included table. The following steps are mandatory. Any additional tasks will be eligible for bonus credit. Please discuss any bonus ideas with Dr. Yazdani or the GTAs before including them in your project. 1. Determine the loads associated with your project using the appropriate local ordinances and provisions. 2. Select an appropriate column, beam, joist, and slab layout for the building. 3. Perform an analysis of the building using RISA 3D/ ETABS or similar software. 4. Design the critical members, e.g. slab, beam, and column, for the ceiling of your designated floor. 5. The project will include two alternative solutions. Compare the two alternative designs based on the project statement. 6. Provide hand calculations only for the items mentioned in the project table. 7. Prepare final design drawing specifications. 8. Submit a Proposal (including a tentative beam-column layout plan and the load calculations) by 02/27/2024 and a Final Report by the semester end. 9. Make a group oral presentation at
