To test your understanding of the knowledge and skills presented in the FITTskills International Sales and Marketing course, you must create and submit an International Sales and Marketing Plan.
The plan must be for either the company you work for or a company of your interest.
It must take an existing or product or service from the country of your choice into an international market that is new to the company.
The steps to follow are:
1.Select an organization, product or service and international target market.
2.Complete secondary research to gather information on trends, barriers and other key considerations when exporting the selected product or service to the selected target market. You will need this information to write the Situational Analysis and Market Analysis sections of the plan.
3.Research additional information that will assist you in developing a feasible and comprehensive international sales and marketing plan.
What to include:
1.Executive Summary: Summarize the content of the plan and highlight key points and conclusions. (Maximum one page)
2.Sales and Marketing Objectives: List clear sales and marketing objectives with outcome targets to identify how success will be measured.
3.Situational Analysis: Describe the relevant organizational strengths and weaknesses, and external opportunities and threats, as these relate to the sales and marketing objectives and selected country or region for market entry.
4.Product and Service Offerings: Describe the nature and use of the product or service (features, benefits, proprietary issues, required modifications, etc.) that the organization will be introducing to the international market.
5.Market Analysis: Summarize the findings of the market research and explain which political, economic, socio-cultural, legal and cultural factors could impact the sales and marketing plan.
6.Customer Profiles: Provide information on customers (consumer and business), including their needs, wants, challenges, available solutions and journeys.
7.Sales and Marketing Strategies: Describe each market segment and outline the organization's strategy for gaining competitive advantage, the product or service positioning and the marketing mix (4 Es). This section must cover e-commerce, branding and sales channels and include an action plan.
8.Budget: Contain details on both the projected revenues and expenses as these relate to the sales and marketing objectives.
9.Conclusion: Tie the information together in a logical manner.
Submission Format
1.The project should be presented in Word with a video presentation (5 mins maximum). The two files should be submitted one day before the presentation.
2.The acceptable fonts are Times New Roman (no smaller than 11pt) and Arial (no smaller than 10pt). Line spacing must be 1.5.Paragraphs contains 5 lines maximum.
3.You should include: A cover page, a table of content, introduction, conclusion, recommendations and bibliography.
4.Plagiarism is NOT tolerated. Evidence of plagiarism will result in a failed examination.
