The purpose of the project report is to evaluate the student's learning and proficiency in supply chain topics covered in this course. The presentation should be geared towards students of supply chain management and members of the industry and should educate your audience about the supply chain strategies of the chosen companies. Task For this project, students may choose two companies competing within an industry that best fits their potential interests and career goals. Students are asked to develop a PowerPoint presentation comparing and contrasting the supply chain strategies of these two companies. The quality of the repott will be determined based on the following parameters: 1. Content: Emphasize the strengths of each company's supply chain strategies as outlined below a. Choice of companies: Do not select Amazon or Macy, as we have alieady discussed them. Also, do not seleet Walmat, as it has been extensively studied and documented. b. Make a narrated video presentation wsing MS Powwpoint that includes the following i. You should appear in the bottom right os top right of the video. This ensures that yout are presenting this video and not someone else ii. The video should not exceed 5 minutes iii. Discuss Key inventory and supply chain metrics and their interpectation (similar to the Amazon versus Macy example discussed in the course). You may use the hittp 5// www scdata.a/ website to analyze the companies of your choice. Comment on your discoveries and appropriately interpret them. iv. Discuss how cach company's supply chain ptactices (c.g. distribution, logistics, warehousing, information technology, etc.) align with its strategic focus. Have the companies faced any inventory challenges? What steps have they taken to ovetcome them? The information you present should be recent, ie, less than five years old. 2. Organization: Repont writing is logical. Sequence and transition of content are effective and integrated appropriately into the repott 3. Design Elements a. Create a "catch" - title, shott phrase, picture, or graphic to make a person stop, tead, and think! b. Create a focused message - highlight critical concepts, and engage the audience c. Use professional waiting techniques for a clear and concise message d. Pictures and graphics should be meaningtul c. Reflect the psychological aspects of colot and incorporate them appropriately (i.e. White = fresh, clean; Red = bold, attention secking, Blue = trust, serenity) f. Use Fonts appropriately (recommended lettering styles are Times New Roman, Arial, Calibri, and Garamond) and images to enhance readability and vistal impact (ie., ALL CAPS = yelling).
