The purpose of this assignment is to show the prevalence of project management (PM) employment opportunities and the various industries that utilize PM, what it takes to be a Project Manager, and various PM resources. If you are unsure of a career field, PM is a hot area with significant opportunity. Review the rubric to make sure you structure your assignment for max points. There is a sample at the bottom of the assignment description below.

1) Job Landscape

a) summarize the qualifications from 5 project management job listings. Up to 4 of the listings can come from advertisements on something like Indeed and at least 1 listing from an employer website. This should include experience, education, certifications, methodologies, software qualifications as well as responsibilities and salary range. Not all of these will be listed so adjust accordingly.

2) List of common certifications and the certifying organizations

a) Describe those available from PMI.org that are listed in the below PMI Certification Framework graphic with a one to three sentence description in list or table format. For the PMI Project Management Ready, CAPM, PMP, PgMP and PfMP provide additional detail in a separate table: name of cert, experience requirement, continuing education requirement to maintain, cost. This should include the Agile/Scrum certifications available at PMI.org

3) Resources

a) List the 10 knowledge areas in the PMBOK 6 (starts with Project Integration Management and ends with Project Stakeholder Management) along with a 1 to 3 sentence description of each.
