Assignment Instructions
Choose one country from List A and one country from List B. You will be doing some research for both countries to learn about their food security.
List A

Based on your research, answer the questions outlined below. Marks as indicated (25 marks in total).
1. Which countries did you chose and what region (continent) of the world are they located? (1 mark)
2. What is the population of the countries chosen? (2 marks)
3. What percentage of the population are estimated to be food insecure in each country? (3 marks)
4. On average, what percentage of household income is spent on food for each country? (3 marks)
5. , what are thought to be the main contributors to food insecurity in each country? (6 marks).
NOTE: Sadly, COVID-19 is thought to be a reason for increased food insecurity around the world. However, every country has experienced some level of food insecurity before COVID-19. For this assignment, research the threats to food security for your chosen countries prior to the additional impacts of COVID-19.
6. Analyze/critically review the information learned in questions 1 to 5
(most specifically, questions 3 to 5) and compare/contrast the two countries. Is the data and information similar or different? In your opinion, what do you think accounts Page 2 of 2 for these similarities and/or differences? Provide at least two suggestions with explanations (6 marks)
